Email account scams!
Man, I gotta share something with everyone.. Last week, our main email address got hacked into.. How it happened, I have NO IDEA.. All I know is all of a sudden, emails stopped coming to our mail box..I decided to send an email to someone and I noticed that in the "TO" line, the name "Lewis Fraser" showed up..If I hadnt been so NOSEY and looked at something like that, there is no telling how many scam emails would have been sent out.. I noticed that in the "sent" folder 2 separate emails were sent to unknown addresses. All our mail preferences had been changed and all our incoming email was now going to someone at a road runner email address..The email address was bmott1@stny.rr.com.. We didnt email this address but we saved the address for the FBI.. The girl at Charter told us that we needed to contact the FBI just to let them know, in case someone gets mad at us and tries to go after our email.. She said that most people wouldnt have caught this scam as fast as we did.. She said most people dont monitor their email accounts as closely as we do.. I guess there is a payoff for being so NOSEY.. :) Although it didnt stop me from feeling violated..

Yikes, what an invasion of privacy. Go get em with the FBI!
Leigh and Hewy- It pissed me off SO MUCH!!! I felt so violated.. We changed everything and I am checking daily to make sure someone hasnt hacked again.. Do you know that someone can go to a website that allows you to type someones email address in it and then send out numerous emails to people using your address? This person totally hacked my account though, because all my settings were changed.. VERY WEIRD feeling!
How ironic! We had our credit card number stolen and we have been round and round with that! Finally went to HPD to file a report and they were SOOOO helpful! I got the guys name, address, phone number and everything. He was so stupid, he put his phone number on one of the mail order things he ordered, WHICH CAME TO MY HOUSE or else I could not have tracked him down. I hope they hang the jerk!!! Maybe that's what got me so down and out and kept me in bed all day Saturday! That feeling of having your privacy invaded that way is just so personal .... it's a very strange feeling!
