Exciting News!
I am sooo excited! I was one of 13 people picked to participate in the "Big Mountain Idol" contest! It is a local version of American Idol here in Helena.. ( a GREAT marketing move , IMO too! Way to go guys!) Each week people sing songs in front of an audience at Big Mountain Coffee (located in the heart of Old Towne Helena!) and the audience votes..I am recruiting my blogging friends to PLEASE come see me sing Friday.. And VOTE!! The winner gets to sing at the Buck Creek Festival this year! They also win $100 and a studio recording session of 3 songs that will be released on a CD and the CD release party will be held at Big Mountain Coffee! I am currently trying to figure out what to sing.. Oh and what to wear that makes me look YOUNGER because I am quite sure I am probably the OLDEST person in the contest! HAHA :)

Wandering minds NEED to know..
As I am sitting here listening to Chris Daughtry's version of my MOST favorite Bon Jovi song, "Wanted Dead or Alive" (its on my playlist to the right, BTW) my mind wanders to what life was like 2 years ago, when Chris was on Amercian Idol..Yes, Chris, my sister and I have both decided that he is like FAMILY to us now.. We have been HUGE fans since he sashayed those AWESOME vocal cords on American Idol.. I have said this before, I am from Alabama and I didnt want Taylor Hicks to win that year.. I wanted CHRIS to.. I felt like I had somehow been a part of Chris being voted off because God knows, I was burning up the phone lines for Taylor, because us Alabama folks got each others backs! :)
My sister was totally distraught that night.. I called her and she was PISSED.. Sorry for such strong language, but thats EXACTLY what she was.. In a half laughing/half psycho sound she said " That Pageant (Explicative DELETED) got to stay! " HAHA We laughed about it at the time but I did tear up and even cry a little when he was voted off..My seecond fav was Elliott and dammit if he wasnt voted off the next week ( i have 2 of his songs on my list too)..
This is where my mind stopped wandering.. I realized that the other day that I have finally found my replacement for Chris is now David Cook.. That guy is WOW.. Thats all I can say.. He is a music genius! I am going to try to get a video of his performance the other night on here.. We have already watched it about 25 times on our DVR.. Just his performance.. He and Carly and Michael Johns are now the only reasons I watch American Idol.. Poor little David Archuletta has lost his flair.. I guess thats what happens when you have a stage dad from hell.. He needs to tell dad that he is almost an adult and he can make his own song decisions!! Good Lawd what was he singing the other night? Sheesh!
I called my sister the other night , after David's ( yes, now hes family to me) performance and she answered the phone saying "OMG wasnt he amazing!" I couldnt have agreed MORE! I still listen to Chris.. If he comes to BHAM again, Ill be there ( since I didnt get to go the LAST TIME).. I bought his CD..I downloaded all his stuff off the internet ( can I say that? Well if I cant, I really didnt.. That was Jimbo.. Not me. HAHA).. But I have found a new American Idol Idol- David Cook!

FINALLY!!!!
I finally got Tyler playing bass to "I Was Made For Loving You" by Kiss! The video is EXTREMELY grainy so my advice is DONT WATCH IT..Just LISTEN.. haha.. I took this with a Nikon CoolPics camera, not a video camera..The second video was taken sideways, I was trying to get a different view and I didnt realize it would tape that way..I was thinking I could crop the video like we do with pictures.. Oh well! Hey! Cut me some slack! Im NEW at this! :D The second video is right before the chorus of the song and Tyler does this cool move with the bass..He looks like hes been doing this for a long time.. HAHA gotta love YouTube and their tutorials! He has learned alot.. Anyway, this is how we spent OUR Spring Break!

Email account scams!
Man, I gotta share something with everyone.. Last week, our main email address got hacked into.. How it happened, I have NO IDEA.. All I know is all of a sudden, emails stopped coming to our mail box..I decided to send an email to someone and I noticed that in the "TO" line, the name "Lewis Fraser" showed up..If I hadnt been so NOSEY and looked at something like that, there is no telling how many scam emails would have been sent out.. I noticed that in the "sent" folder 2 separate emails were sent to unknown addresses. All our mail preferences had been changed and all our incoming email was now going to someone at a road runner email address..The email address was bmott1@stny.rr.com.. We didnt email this address but we saved the address for the FBI.. The girl at Charter told us that we needed to contact the FBI just to let them know, in case someone gets mad at us and tries to go after our email.. She said that most people wouldnt have caught this scam as fast as we did.. She said most people dont monitor their email accounts as closely as we do.. I guess there is a payoff for being so NOSEY.. :) Although it didnt stop me from feeling violated..
Look, Green Eyes Count!
My little smart aleck of a middle son, Tyler, came up to me on St Patricks day and said " Oh look mom, you're not wearing green" and then attempts to rare back and pinch me.. I jumped back before he could get the pinch in.. That child.. I am sure he was trying to make good on some vengeance he had for a grounding of some sort.. You know kids LIVE for these days.. I looked at him and exclaimed , as I have for years, " I have GREEN EYES! I dont need to wear green, stupid!" hehe.. He looked at me like I was some sort of loser-slacker ( well, I HAVE been slacking for a while, I guess but SHHHH ) and told me NO.. I said it again.. " I have GREEN EYES! Green eyes count!" Hehe.. He backed off.. He knew Id ground him if he didnt.. haha :)
Im such a SLACKER!!
I have been so busy with baseball and the store and kids that I havent even been reading , much less, blogging! I feel like such a slacker.. For all I know, all my blogging friends have moved on and are reading other blogs because I am such a slacker.. You can read about "Oprahs Big Give" show just so many times.. haha
This week is spring break and for some reason, I have been busier than usual.. Weird.. I guess because I put off EVERYTHING until now.. Well, atleast we cleaned out the garage and I got caught up on laundry..Of course, we all know that wont last.. haha..Business has been SUPER SLOW the past 2 weeks.. I guess everyone is getting their taxes done or are getting ready for vacation time and dont have time to go shopping..
Hubby starting putting things on Ebay that might not sell in our store.. Hes had alot of fun with that.. Sadly, our laptop AC cord died and so we cannot use the laptop at home , until we buy another one.. Stupid IBM! Anyway..All his Ebay time is done at the store.. We have sold a few things, so I guess its a good thing!
Whit is in Gulf Shores for a baseball tournament..He was so funny..He hasnt been to the beach since like 2003..He makes sure we know that too.. Poor Whit.. wah wah wah.. HAHA He called us the other day and said it was all one big tease because since they are playing in a baseball tournament, they cannot go to the beach before their games.. Sometimes, they dont have games until like 4 or 5 pm.. haha.. I told him that he wouldnt get much beach time.. Stinks for him because they are staying in a condo ON THE BEACH.. So close, yet so far away!!! He gets to stay with a friend there for a couple of extra days, so I know he will be happy.. :)
I will try to get Tyler playing the bass later.. :)

Oprah's "Big Give" show...
Ok.. I gotta comment on this show.. I think it is a great idea.. Oprah really knows how to give back..I even like the people ( well most of them) on the show..Most of them show major enthusiasm about wanting to make a difference in peoples lives and help people that really might need a little something extra..But last night I REALLY got irritated about one guy on the show who REALLY seemed to have absolutely NO CLUE about the gift of giving to someone..
The whole idea behind the show is certain people are chosen to go through "challenges" given by Oprah..The last challenge consisted of the players were in Colorado and given $4800 and given 48 hours to use it wisely and make a difference in someones life..I know what I would have done.. I would have probably tried to find someone who REALLY needed some help.. Maybe a family in a financial crisis that needed help..I would have probably tried to network and get someone to help raise money and so forth to make the $4800 grow, as well..In this day, $4800 doesnt go very far.. It can help ALOT.. But it doesnt do any MAJOR damage.. This is why this show is so cool.. People use their resources to try to get MORE people involved to help..
One of the contestants REALLY brought tears to my eyes.. She chose a group of HIV infected women to "pamper" for a day.. She didnt raise any extra money.. She just took these women to a spa and treated them all day long..Then took them to an elegant dinner after..The look on these women's faces was amazing..They looked so appreciative and felt BEAUTIFUL..One woman remarked that for the first time, in a long time, she felt like a woman and not like someone with HIV..She cried, I cried..It was such a wonderful idea..This girl got kudos from the judges..
Another woman in a wheelchair, who is also a contestant, found a man by accident..She felt it was fate..Turns out this guy has a special needs daughter who really needed treatment and they couldnt afford it and he also had a son who needed to go to college but couldnt afford it..She of course, hooked them all up, and got some extra money from donations.. She did a great job and LOVED the family..Later in the show, Oprah threw in a twist.. The participants were driving a brand new Ford Edge and they had to find someone to give it to. This lady had a specially made one , for someone in a wheelchair that was a paraplegic. She went to a rehabilitation center and gave it to a man who would have never gotten one, otherwise..She said that driving gives someone in their position independance.. Once again, she cried, I cried.. She got an ATTABOY from the judges too..
There was a military guy in the mix who decided that since he was military, hed find a guy that was military also , and help his family out..He ended up going way out in the "country" part of Colorado and found a man with 3 kids and a wife, who had been injured and was no longer recieving compensation from his injuries.. He was about to lose his house and still needed to feed his family..This guy went to Applebees and tried to drum up some "help" and they had a "benefit" type night where all the proceeds that were made would go DIRECTLY to the family.. Nice idea.. So, at the presentation, the guy gives the family $4600 in cash ( Im still wondering where the other $200 of that $4800 went......hmmm..) and then the manager made an announcement that all proceeds from the night would go to the family..I also think that the family was allowed some free meals maybe? I cant remember that..But I do know he gave him money and COUNTED it out to EVERYONE there as he put each $100 bill in his hand..I found that very tacky and rather demeaning..To me it was like him saying " Look everyone, watch and see how much money this loser is getting from Oprahs Big Give!" He even had the crowd COUNT as he handed it to him.. VERY GAUCHE..
Then came time for him to give the Ford Edge away..You would think that was a given.. You give it to the man whos about to lose his house.. Who knows, if he HAD to, he could sell his other car and drive that one.. Maybe he could sell that car, if needed, to help his situation..The Ford Edge retails between $25,000 and $32,000. That could do some HUGE damage to debt and could basically cover a salary for a year or so, if needed, until he found a good job.. This is where I about choked..The dude gives the car TO THE MANAGER AT APPLEBEES for doing this "huge" deed..Im sorry but WHAT THE HELL? What was this guy THINKING? Come on!!!!!!!! Seriously!!!!!!! I was enraged.. I looked at my hubby and said " Are you kidding me?" Does this guy have any idea what managers at Applebees make? Usually pretty decent salaries..I know a guy that was a manager at O'Charleys and he made over $90,000 a year.. I really dont think this manager guy was hurting for money.. So the guy gave the guy that NEEDED help $4600 in cash and then possibly $2000-$4,000 in cash from the proceeds..Ok.. Lets do the math here..Ok.. POSSIBLY maybe up to $8600 in money...That could help him a good bit, thats for sure.. Im sure he was thankful, nonetheless.. But then he gives the manager a $25,000+ car? I cant beleive that manager took it! Im sorry, but IMO, it made them look REALLY BAD.. JMO.. Not sure if I would eat there again, if I lived in that city!

Once again, she cried, I cried.. She got an ATTABOY from the judges too..
There was a military guy in the mix who decided that since he was military, hed find a guy that was military also , and help his family out..He ended up going way out in the "country" part of Colorado and found a man with 3 kids and a wife, who had been injured and was no longer recieving compensation from his injuries.. He was about to lose his house and still needed to feed his family..This guy went to Applebees and tried to drum up some "help" and they had a "benefit" type night where all the proceeds that were made would go DIRECTLY to the family.. Nice idea.. So, at the presentation, the guy gives the family $4600 in cash ( Im still wondering where the other $200 of that $4800 went......hmmm..) and then the manager made an announcement that all proceeds from the night would go to the family..I also think that the family was allowed some free meals maybe? I cant remember that..But I do know he gave him money and COUNTED it out to EVERYONE there as he put each $100 bill in his hand..I found that very tacky and rather demeaning..To me it was like him saying " Look everyone, watch and see how much money this loser is getting from Oprahs Big Give!" He even had the crowd COUNT as he handed it to him.. VERY GAUCHE..
Then came time for him to give the Ford Edge away..You would think that was a given.. You give it to the man whos about to lose his house.. Who knows, if he HAD to, he could sell his other car and drive that one.. Maybe he could sell that car, if needed, to help his situation..The Ford Edge retails between $25,000 and $32,000. That could do some HUGE damage to debt and could basically cover a salary for a year or so, if needed, until he found a good job.. This is where I about choked..The dude gives the car TO THE MANAGER AT APPLEBEES for doing this "huge" deed..Im sorry but WHAT THE HELL? What was this guy THINKING? Come on!!!!!!!! Seriously!!!!!!! I was enraged.. I looked at my hubby and said " Are you kidding me?" Does this guy have any idea what managers at Applebees make? Usually pretty decent salaries..I know a guy that was a manager at O'Charleys and he made over $90,000 a year.. I really dont think this manager guy was hurting for money.. So the guy gave the guy that NEEDED help $4600 in cash and then possibly $2000-$4,000 in cash from the proceeds..Ok.. Lets do the math here..Ok.. POSSIBLY maybe up to $8600 in money...That could help him a good bit, thats for sure.. Im sure he was thankful, nonetheless.. But then he gives the manager a $25,000+ car? I cant beleive that manager took it! Im sorry, but IMO, it made them look REALLY BAD.. JMO.. Not sure if I would eat there again, if I lived in that city!

Happy Late Birthday MAWMAW!!!
I had to take a minute to tell my mom Happy Belated Birthday on this blog..Her birthday was yesterday..She turned 29..She really looks good considering she had me at -9..You know, all 3 of my boys were born on Fridays and on the 6th? I know thats almost scary but when I realized my moms birthday is ALSO on the 6th, I didnt feel as scared.. lol Last year, I had them announce her birthday at a RMS baseball game and she thought I gave out her REAL AGE.. haha She happened to be in the car and could barely hear the announcement.. I told them she was 29 last year too.. There is something to look forward to as we age.. Our numbers always stay the same!! :) Seriously, my mom looks awesome for her age..Shes not that old.. But I know sometimes she feels like it..(Dont we all!) She has the most beautiful skin, barely any wrinkles and she has the thickest hair I have ever seen.. She keeps it short but it is still gorgeous.. Anyway, Happy Birthday MawMaw I love you!
American Idol Top 12!
I gotta say..The women didnt impress me this week..That is mostly the reason you dont see a post about the women..That and the fact that since I have been on the recovery track after being sick, I just didnt have time to write something up.. haha..My standout was Carly from Ireland..She always stands out to me though..And not just because she has a hitious tatoo..I wish she could take it back because it is very distracting when she is singing..She needs to cover it up..She is VERY BEAUTIFUL..Especially when she has her hair done and make up fixed..ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and marketable..But that unsightly tatoo..UUGGHH..I guess thats what happens when you are married to a man that owns a tatoo shop..I have just never been one for tatoo's PERIOD.. Especially on women.. Just my opinion here..I just dont see the point in using your body as a canvas..But VOCALLY this chick has got it going on and has it to make it BIG..She can hit every note that Celine Dion can hit..I wish she would have a little more confidence and not cut off notes and instead, HOLD them when she hits them.. She will learn..
Other standouts were because they were HORRIBLE..Tyler, my middle son said I dont know what horrible is..I said "Tyler, YOU are HORRIBLE at singing..A great MUSICIAN but you couldnt sing to save your life" He cant..Tyler is so bad that they could make an entire show on American Idol about him.. HE could be the one they show that THINKS they sing great and it is BAD..Im not kidding.. One day, I will try to catch him singing and put it on here.. Beleive me, you will never be the same again.. :) The "horrible" performances IMO were from Kady Malloy ( what exactly was she singing?) and that other chick that looks like her that sang JOURNEY'S FAITHFULLY.. I think her perfoemance was OK.. but she could have done SO MUCH MORE with the ending..I am sure Randy was thinking the same..
Anyway, enough of my rants..I think the top 12 is good..Has a good range of different types of music, which makes for fun watching..I just hope Amanda Overmeyer learns some new dance moves ASAP.. She does the same move.. She reminds me of Elvis.. HAHA I quite like her for some reason but I think she would have kicked butt on ROCK STAR instead..She has a future, Im sure..Im a little sad that Danny Noriega didnt make it, but not surprised..I loved how he and Ramiele hit it off.. That poor girl was DEVASTATED last night when they said he was going home.. I got one more issue..Asia'h Epperson should have stayed.. She sounded PERFECT in her last song.. She hit every note and looked so adorable.. She has grace and poise and was such a lady..I know she will go far too.. She has one heck of a voice, different..But different is what makes it in the music business!

Gene Simmons is put on NOTICE..
Just to let Gene Simmons know.. Tyler Millsap has learned the bass line to "I Was Made For Loving You".. And he played it pretty darn good.. I will get a video of him playing it to the song ASAP.. Baseball is putting quite a damper in his bass playing time.. :) But I just thought Id let Gene know that his competition is improving.. :) Whit has almost mastered "Drops Of Jupiter" by Train and it also sounds pretty darn good..Now, if I could ever get them to concentrate on their school work this much...:D

Or atleast a clunk on the head.. I swear! From being sick and all my head is STILL full of yuck and I feel very OUT THERE.. Well, here is a NEW one for the week.. While I was still in my drugged up state of sickness this weekend, we noticed that someone had put some UNAUTHORIZED charges on the bank card..Two charges for $14.95 showed up from places called "shopping essentials" and another from "vistarewards"..This is all too common because we are all dealing with things on the internet and buying things over the internet..I had NO IDEA where these charges had come from.. the only thing that looked remotely familiar was the Vista thing because I got the business cards from Vista Printing.. People.. BE VERY CAREFUL.. This place took my number and ENROLLED me in some kind of "membership".. Tried to say that I approved it by opening some email or something.. WHATEVER.. I didnt enroll in ANYTHING..
Anyway, our bank took the charges off and cancelled the card they were made on..They are sending me a new one in the next 3-5 days.. This is where this becomes almost hilarious.. In a a sick way ( which I still am, BTW) I made sure that they were going to leave my husbands card active..They said it would be left active.. I immediately ripped my card up and threw it away..This morning, we stopped to get gas because car was on E and my hubby said it wouldnt take his card.. He went inside and they said it was inactive..UUGGHHHHHHHHHHHH.. So he called our bank and SURE ENOUGH.. HIS CARD was the one that was cancelled.. Mind you, I had JUST TORN my card up and threw it away.. This is like a friggin nightmare! In a funny not laugh out loud kind of way..So there we are.. ON EMPTY and no card and of course this stupid red neck of a quick mart ( not in Helena, mind you, we were in another part of town) wouldnt take a check.. Come to find out, I was ALSO on my last check.. Hello? Is it raining yet? Luckily, we COASTED into our lovely town of Helena that took my very last check in my checkbook for gas..Now.. I needed coffee.. Thank goodness I keep change! haha

American Idol Boys Night!
I will say this : David Archuleta is AMAZING! I will also say this: Danny Noriega: Is he a boy or a girl? I am confused! He looks like he could be Jessica Alba's long lost brother or sister? Very weird! He can be really good when he wants to..But sometimes hes just plain ol weird! He can work the cat walk like Tyra Banks and he can sing but he just weirds me out!
Back to David..He is awesome! He did a great job with the Phil Collins song "Another Day In Paradise"..I think he made it hiw own.. Lets face it.. I am a fan of his!!
Luke Menard..Oh Luke, looks like its the end of the road.. You are lucky to have made it this far in the competition..Your sound is just NOT THERE..Too high and not in the right places.. When you sing, you make me NERVOUS and not in a good way.. SERIOUSLY..
Poor David Hernandez.. He did a great job with the Celine Dion/Meatloaf song" Its All Coming Back To Me Now" but that doesnt compare to the rumors all over the internet about his past of being a male stripper in a gay bar..I REALLY like this guy.. My hubby and I both agree he never gets the props he deserves..He has an amazing voice..He has an "Elliot Yamin" vibe when he sings..He doesnt have the ummphh that Elliot had though..
David Cook did an amazing job with Lionel Richie's "Hello".. I liked how Randy told him he did an "emo" version of it.. haha..Im not so sure about the EMO part but it was great, nonetheless..He sure knows how to look just right in the camera, just like Constantine.. He also has a Chris Daughtry vibe to him when he sings too..And as you know, I am ALL ABOUT some Chris Daughtry! Im a fan of him, too! David Cook too.. haha
Aussie singer Michael Johns did a great rendition of Simple Minds "Dont You Forget About Me".. I felt like I was back in 1985! He sounded great..I dont know if everyone caught this but Randy made a comment about how he sounded like Michael Hutchence, as in he sounded just like he sounded when INXS recorded that song.. It wasnt INXS, it was Simple Minds!!!! I am sure it was a mistake.. lol Beleive me, I was the major INXS fan! Also a MAJOR Michael Johns fan!
Jason Castro did a good rendition of "Hallelujah", a different song choice.. This oy is not the typical singer, though..He has the dreads to prove it.. He is very pretty to look at..
Lastly, Chikezie? Thats all I gotta say.. Ok.. Ill give him some props.. Boy can sing when he has to hit the notes..But he picked a WHITNEY HOUSTON song.. GOOOOD LAAWWWD!

Well, the last time I posted I was just getting over a busy weekend and half the family being sick..I guess last Friday it was my turn to get sick..I just THOUGHT I was getting sick the week before, I guess..Maybe my body was saving up for this weekend..Who knows..Anyway, Friday night I had this weird nagging feeling in the back of my thoat..I was extremely tired, even though it was Friday night..I was really tired the night before but I just thought it was because I started working out again.. I went to Spin class on Friday and had a wonderful workout..I felt so good, even..But I felt weird Friday night..By 10:30 pm I was dead asleep, awakening from time to time with a completely clogged nose..BOTH SIDES! It was so weird how I went from feeling good to feeling like hell in a matter of 8 hours! The whole weekend consisted of me whining about how I couldnt breathe and how achey I felt! I ran a low grade fever all weekend so it almost felt like it didnt count..Thats very frustrating! I felt really bad because my hubby's parents came to visit from SC and I was strung out on NyQuil and cough medicine all weekend..Not my personal best! I finally went to doctor yesterday and had a Flu test and luckily, I didnt test positive..Doc said I had a pretty bad virus which is whats going around..Just told me to rest ( haha good one , doc) and I should feel better in a couple of days. They gave me a shot and I was on my way..I didnt start feeling right until this morning..I missed Tyler's game last night and will prob miss Whits game and Tylers other game tonight because it is too cold for me to be going out and sitting in cold after being sick.. OH WELL! I guess the road to recovery is full of moments like this! Ya gotta pick your battles, I guess!

Long time - no post!
Sorry ya'll.. I have been so busy with baseball and the store that I havent posted in like a week! I guess no news is good news right? haha I joined the YMCA and the next day, my whole family got sick.. I was never fully sick, but I was exhausted.. FINALLY I started working out this week.. I got to do a Spin class today and I realized how much I missed that class! It is so relaxing to me.. I dont know why it is.. I just come out of that class so "centered" and calm... It really helps my day go by smoother.. I am planning on doing this class 3-4 times a week from now on! I hope to have some extra weight loss with it, as well..
Today, I enrolled in a research study on weight loss.. I am hoping it will help me lose more! I will keep a log of it on here, Im sure.. :)
I have been so busy that I cannot keep up with all the reality shows, either! I will say this though, that little David Archaletta can SINGGGGGGGGGG! He brought tears to my eyes last night singing " Imagine".. He made it his OWN song.. It was brilliant.. I am seeing a future star in the making.. Im pretty good at this.. I predicted Carrie Underwood..I missed it on Chris Daughtry though ( who should have won BTW ) :)

Jam Session!
All 3 boys got guitars for Christmas this year.. Whit got an acoustic, Tyler got a bass and Todd got an electric ( the one he was "playing" in the earlier post video). These boys have had these guitars less than 2 months and they are already playing REAL SONGS! Tyler has really gotten good at the bass and really looks the part! Whit has learned how to sing and play at the same time.. NOT AN EASY FEAT!! I am so proud of them!

Im sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!
Uuuuggghhhhhhhhhhh! I am so sick of not feeling well! Last Friday night while we were all out to eat at Hooters's, Hubby had a major stomach attack that lasted 3 days.. He was M-I-S-E-R-A-B-L-E! He ran a fever for 3 days of 100-101 too.. I feel crappy too but not as bad as he is..I have developed a cough and headache and mild nausea..Unfortunately, the nausea isnt strong enough to deter me from food.. OF COURSE~~ :) I swear it seems like everytime I join a gym and try to get back on track, I get sick! Doesnt help that baseball games have been late this week too.. I want to know what idiot thought it was appropriate to have middle schoolers START a game AFTER 7 pm and MAKE THEM play a FULL 5 innings? AND THEN have to drive 40 miles ONE WAY to get back from the game? Ugghh... And you wonder why I feel like crap! I hope this all ends soon! I cannot be THIS HAPPY all the time! :D

80s Hair TO THE MAX!!!
I found these pictures last night when I was looking at my "memory book" from my senior year of high school.. I guess when your own child is going through their senior year, you tend to reminesce? Well, anyway, I found these hilarious 80s hair pictures..One was from my senior homecoming..You cant even see the poor guy behind me because my hair is so high! And I couldnt even put my friend Amye's whole picture on here because her hair was so high.. Talk about high hair! Amye DEFINATELY had the 80s hair thing going on! The other picture was from my cousin Kristy's wedding..Her hair alone screams 1987! Looks like she should be singing BARRACUDA or something like that by Heart! haha I was SO THIN!! Whats sad is I thought I was a cow! Sad!! Here is my ode to the 80's hair! I went through a can of hairspray a week.. My dad used to say that if the wind blew too hard it wouldnt move my hair but it would just blow my head clean off! HAHA Im so glad I had boys... :)
Big Brother 9
Ok..I finally got caught up with Big Brother last night..Thank goodness for DVR..I have NO IDEA what we did before it? Oh yeah, we missed shows.. haha Anyway, hubby and I watched the show from Wednesday and also fast forwarded through alot of the "BB After Dark" show on Cinemax..When BB 8 was on Showtime, I stayed up late almost every night watching atleast an hour of it..Of course, that was BEFORE we owned a business! I gotta have my ZZZZZ's now! We watched the whole 3 hour show in like 45 minutes.. I am trying to figure this show out.. The After Dark is a live feed thats coming from the house..The first episodes were taped ahead of time..So it goes like this: The twist with BB9 is that the houseguests are paired with their seemingly "soulmates" based on profile tests that they took prior to coming into the house..They have to work as a couple, sleep as a couple and be voted off as a couple..This makes me wonder if the show will last the normal 3 months or not? Who knows.. But I am having a really hard time juggling this show with American Idol! This is my SUMMER show.. Not my Spring Show..haha
A few twists added to the twist are : a couple that dated for 12 years (Jacob and Sharon) and broke up because he cheated on her are paired up and another SECRET couple (Ryan and Jen) who are paired up with 2 other people..First week, the "power couple" is Jen and Parker..They get to send home one couple..
Now, if you saw BB8, you know how it ended, the people that knew each other the longest survived(Eval Dick and Danielle Donato) ..They put aside their differences and worked TOGETHER to win the show..Well, I expected this also from Sharon and Jacob..Sadly, it didnt happen..Jacob ran his mouth about Parker and Jen, Parker's "soulmate" heard it and told Parker..Parker called everyone out on it, to find out who the real culprit was..No one fessed up and so Jacob was left looking like the fool..Sharon, Jacob's ex and soulmate went to Parker and tried to smooth things over and tried convincing him that Ryan(Jen's real boyfriend) was the one who was running his mouth about him..Well, that all backfired when Jen decided to tell Parker about their relationship..She was doing this to save Ryan because Parker was ready to send Ryan and Allison(Ryans "soulmate") home..Ryan was a little preturbed that Jen told Parker so he said that they needed to tell Allison..This is where the drama starts..
I am female and I know how this works: When they informed Allison, she wasnt happy ONE BIT.. And we all know why.. She wasnt upset because she felt like she was at a disadvantage because of Jen and Ryan's relationship..She was just plain ol pissed because she was digging Ryan and wanted to hook up with him.. PLAIN AND SIMPLY PUT! I figured that out before it was obvious! Hubby made a comment about that after the convos took place.. Duh..Women are hateful like that.. Anyway, I knew its a matter of time before Allison let everyone know about their alliance.. Girls like her are the reason I didnt have alot of female friends as a teenager.. uughhh.. Anyway, in the end, Parker and Jen ended up sending home Jacob and Sharon..The new HOH are Alex and Amanda..No drama yet..They are all new.. Im sure it is to come..
Ok.. watching the BB9 After Dark from Wednesday night, it was very different..I was quite confused..I watched Sharon leave with her ex, Jacob but then I saw Sharon on the show..I was very confused until they said that she was brought back and that Neil ( he was paird up with a guy, im assuming they are gay) was sent home.. OKKKAAAYYYY.. Confusion! SO anyway, Sharon is back and from what we could gather, she is MOUTHY.. Oh and the truth behind Jen and Ryan is now out in the open.. Everyone knows and they are not happy.. The common theme is the other houseguests miss their family and friends but Jen and Ryan have each other.. Kind of reminds me of James and his girlfriend in Season 6..That was one of the best seasons, next to the All Stars!
I am done with this update for now..I will try to make sense of all of this over the weekend.. haha
